Los Yobos is a seven-piece Americana/Western Swing band based in York. The band features 3 vocalists and an instrumental lineup comprising guitars, fiddles, steel guitar, mandolin, double bass and drums. Los Yobos' repertoire features Western Swing classics, Tin Pan Alley hits, old fiddle tunes, lonesome blues and broken-hearted Country songs.

Los Yobos' debut album, “Under the S in Yorkshire” takes you on a whirlwind tour of the best American roots music. There are classic songs from all-time great songwriters like Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer and the incomparable Hank Williams alongside modern Texas songwriters like Guy Clark and Steve Earle. There is even a Mexican folk song sung entirely in Spanish. All are played and sung with skill, passion and a genuine love for the music. The band are currently hard at work on their next CD, scheduled for release in Autumn 2010.
